About The Author
Alan Samuel Cohen is a results-driven transformational executive leadership coach, corporate trainer, and professional speaker. Hundreds of senior executives and entrepreneurs have worked with Alan to become more inspired and connected to their lives and goals, resulting in greater performance, highly improved business results, and transformed organizations. Notable clients have included MetLife, NBC/Bravo, Bloomberg, OnDeck, and Edelman Public Relations.
Alan has been a professional coach since 2007. Before that, he worked for twenty-five years in marketing and human resources; most notably, he was Scholastic Inc.’s Director of Marketing, leading the team that promoted the acclaimed Harry Potter book series. Alan then moved to director of corporate training and development for Scholastic, where he established and supervised the company’s management training curriculum.
Alan holds a BA in English and Theatre from Connecticut College and an MBA from Fordham University’s Graduate School of Business. He is one of only two thousand Professional Certified Coaches in the world. Alan has been a trainer for The Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (iPEC). He is certified in the Energy Leadership Index Assessment and the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator.
Alan is the author of "Those Difficult Talks for PR Pros: How Best to Say What Needs to be Said to Clients, Colleagues, and Employees." Alan also cofounded “The Positivity Project,” an initiative intended to create global optimism in the workplace.
